Daghestani government discuss preparations for Russian cultural and economic forum

Makhachkala, April 9, 2014. On April 8, Daghestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov chaired a working meeting on preparing and holding the Russian cultural and economic forum "Culture and economy of the regional policy in modern context."

The event brought together 1st Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Karibov and the deputy chief of the Head and Government’s Administration Mussalan Takhmanov.

The forum is to be held in Makhachkala on April 22-23. A. Gamidov said that this is not the first time Daghestan has welcomed a forum, they already have a certain experience of holding forums. But he stressed that the magnitude and format of this forum force them to hold it at the highest level.

According to A. Gamidov, the main issues of preparing for the event have been solves, there are only some organizational things that require detailed consideration.

1st Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Karibov detailed on the measures being taken and the further plans. He said that during the two days of the forum, participants have an eventful program - a scientific and practical conference, exhibitions and presentations, and signing cooperation agreements. In addition, there will be a gala concert with participation of the State Symphony Orchestra "New Russia". Both representatives of various Russian regions and foreign guests have been invited to come to the Makhachkala forum.

At the meeting, participants also discussed issues of providing security to forum members, organizing meetings, and supporting and accommodating the guests.
