For the implementation of programs for sustainable economic development of energy enterprises, housing and communal services in the pilot regions of the Northern Ossetia, Ingushetia and Dagestan, the federal budget will provide up to 7.5 billion rubles for the next three years. This was announced, January 8, by the press service of the Russian government.

This decision, the press service clarifies, was the result of a strategic session on the protection of models of economic development for a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation that are part of the North Caucasian Federal District, which took place on November 16, 2021 under the leadership prime minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service were instructed to start financing from July 1, 2022. The funds are allocated "based on the need to curb the rate of growth of tariffs and increase social support for low-income strata of population."

Based on the list of instructions and decisions, the pilot regions are expected to bring fees up to 90%. Mishustin reportedly instructed the regions to submit proposals to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development for the creation of industrial parks with the expectation of support measures by March 1.
