Dagestan government discusses number of topical issues

Makhachkala, September 22, 2015. On September 21, the participants of the regular session of republican Government under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Abdusamad Gamidov addressed a number of pressing issues.

Anticipating the discussion Abdusamad Gamidov congratulated the members of the Government on the 2000-year anniversary of Derbent. "I would not name the specific agencies behind the preparation to the holiday, but note the high level organization of celebratory events in the city. This morning, at the meeting with the Head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdulatipov thanked the Government for the work in this direction" – A.Gamidov said.

The main issue on the agenda was to discuss the preparatory work for holding the Culture and Sports Festival of the peoples of Caucasus on September 27 in Makhachkala. According to the first deputy Prime Minister Anatoly RD Anatoly Karibov, the preparation for the festival is carried in two directions - the organization of sports events and the accompanying cultural program.

The competitions in the national sports will take place in the stadium "Trud" and on the grounds of Markarov school. The ethnic and national public squares will be located before the Russian Drama and State Theatre and on Lenin Square. On same day, the walls of the Russian Drama Theatre named after M. Gorky will host the festival evening.

Abdusamad Gamidov called to use the experience of holding the anniversary of Derbent in colorful decoration of the city to create a festive atmosphere.
The Prime minister also proposed to discuss the preparations for the 280th anniversary of Kizlyar. For his part, the chairperson of the organizing committee for celebration of city anniversary, the deputy Prime Minister RD Magomed Isayev reported on the preparations for the scheduled activities carried out in accordance with the plan.

Summing up the meeting, Abdusamad Gamidov also reminded on the need to keep monitoring the current work of the Cabinet of Ministers - in particular relating to the execution of orders of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
