Three new modern schools will be constructed in Makhachkala, providing 1,812 places for children. The large-scale construction of the facilities is carried out as part of the national target project "Education" and covers the "Veteran" micro-district, Leninkent and Novy Khushet settlements (suburbs of Makhachkala). There is an acute shortage of school places in these districts.

Gazimagomed Kuramagomedov, the head of the regional State Autonomous Institution "Directorate for Infrastructure Programs" (a subdivision of the republican Ministry of Construction), visited all three construction sites this day.

The top official examined the pace of construction. “All the works are implemented in strict accordance with the approved schedules, there is no shortage of materials, equipment or workers on the sites. Today, thanks to the efforts of the republican authorities, an unprecedented large-scale construction of social facilities is underway in the region. The Directorate, as a state body, constantly monitors the progress of work so that the children can study in modern, beautiful and well-equipped schools” – Kuramagomedov said.

Besides, the contractors were reminded on the need to increase the pace of work and the number of specialists involved.
