The Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev during his working visit to Baku. Remind in December 2022 the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the head Dagestan Sergei Melikov identified a number of promising areas for joint projects.

The parties discussed the prospects of trade and economic cooperation, the intensification of investment attraction and the successful development of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Russia. The top officials touched upon the issues of:
-    industrial cooperation;
-    development of transport corridor "North-South";
-    cooperation in agro-industrial complex;
-    promotion of events within the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Rasul Gamzatov in Azerbaijan and the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev and the memory of state leader Aziz Aliyev in Dagestan;
-    development of cultural and humanitarian ties between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Dagestan.

After the meeting, Shahin Mustafayev and Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov signed an action plan for the development of key areas of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Dagestan for 2023-2025.
