Abdussamad Gamidov meets with head of Directors Board of Italian «Sacmi Imola» Paolo Montgardi

Makhachkala, April 3, 2015.  Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov who is on a business trip in Moscow attended the first International Construction Exhibition "BATIMAT-2015".

Dagestan has a few large-scale investment projects under construction. One of them is Marabou LLC, a part of the priority development project named "New Industrialization". The plant specializes in manufacturing floor and porcelain tiles.

Intriguingly, this is the first time Dagestan’s "Marabou" LLC has presented their potential product samples on an international level. By now, Italian specialists have installed the latest equipment in the plant. The designed production capacity is 2 million square meters of high quality tiles of intricate design per year. The whole process will be automated - from preparing initial raw materials to packaging of finished products.

Marabou’s sales are mainly oriented on regional markets of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts, as well as foreign markets as far as Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Their competitive advantage over other suppliers of similar products will be high quality and relatively low price.

Abdussamad Gamidov also met with Paolo Montgardi, head of the Board of Directors of Italian «Sacmi Imola» - the world's leading manufacturer of equipment for producing stoneware and regular tiles. The sides discussed prospects for Dagestan’s further cooperation with foreign partners. The meeting was also attended by Italian project investor Marzio Maloventura who regularly comes to Dagestan to oversee the construction of the plant.
