Some episodes of Russian-Indian comedy to be shot in Dagestan

Makhachkala, April 4, 2018. The president of the Cinematography Support and Development Foundation of the North Caucasus, the general producer of the Chechenfilm film company Beslan Terekbayev announced the forthcoming film producing episodes of the Russian-Indian comedy in Dagestan in 2018.

According to Terekbayev, the filming will be made jointly with the Indian cinematographers, as well as the studio "DagFilm". The scheduled budget of the movie is RUR 50 million. “The director and the author of the film is the vice-president of Foundation Rabiyyat Adzhikamalova. She is from Dagestan and worked in Makhachkala - in Kumyk State Drama and Music Theater. Since recently, she is a representative of the Chechenfilm studio and the North Caucasian Cinematography Support and Development Foundation in Mumbai.  Adzhikamalova is the only Russian woman who graduated from the Film and Television Institute in Pune (India)" - Terekbayev said.

Terekbayev noted that this year the project will be submitted for subsidizing to the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture. "The preliminary castings are being held nowadays, in India so far. The shooting itself is planned to be completed before the end of 2018. Then the postproduction process begins. WE plan to release the film in the next year" - Terekbayev confessed.

Recall, this is the second Russian-Indian project of the "Chechenfilm" studio. So, this year the children's comedy "Best Friends" will be released in 22 countries.
