Using muon radiography experts hope to reveal the secret hidden in the ground of the room. The underground room with an area of approx. 12 meters is located the North-Western part of the fortress Naryn-Kala, in the city of Derbent, Dagestan. The object dating 300 BC is almost completely hidden in the hill. Some scientists believe that this is the first Christian Church in Russia. Long time there was no idea of how to study the room.

The employees of Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys found a way out. Together with colleagues from the physics Institute named after P. N. Lebedev, RAS and Dagestan state University they are going to explore the room using muon radiography. Besides, the scientists intend to make a restoration work to return the room to its early appearance. Thus, the researchers plan to unravel one of the secrets of the ancient fortress in Dagestan.
