"First Gallery" to present retrospective exhibition of Dagestani artists

Makhachkala, May 19, 2018. The retrospective exhibition of contemporary Dagestani artists "Free Art" will be held in the museum "Russia - My History" in Makhachkala. The exhibition will be presented by the gallery of contemporary art "First Gallery".
According to the art gallery officer, the exhibition feature works of more than 40 national and well-deserved artists of Dagestan and Russia, whose works are kept in the largest museum collections: Zulkarnay Rabadanov, Abdulzagir Musaev, Galina Pshenitsina, Khairulla Kurbanov, Zakarya Zakaryaev and others.

Besides, the visitors of the exhibition will see pictures of young authors who received recognition at exhibitions, competitions and festivals in Russia.

"According to the art historians, the contemporary Dagestani art is in the forefront of Caucasian fine art. Each artist has his own recognizable handwriting, works in an individual style, being at the same time an integral part of Dagestan fine arts school" - the gallery officer said. The exhibition kicks off on May 26.
