Specialized center of competence WorldSkills Russia kicks off in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, September 23, 2016. Yesterday, the specialized center of competence preparing participants for the WorldSkills Russia championships "Young Professionals" in the direction "Repair and maintenance of cars" kicked off in Makhachkala Automobile and Road Construction State Technical Institute.

Before the opening ceremony, the participants were showed a video of the last championship “WorldSkills Russia-2016” devoted to the blue-collar occupations.

The WorldSkills Russia organization (Young Professionals) is an international non-profit movement, aimed at increasing the prestige of working professions and developing the vocational education through the harmonization of the best practices and professional standards in the world and holding competitions of professional skills as in every  region and around the world.

The head of the Regional Coordination Centre WorldSkills Russia in Dagestan, director of the National Youth Employment Center "Uspekh" Zaur Omarov noted that the system of a secondary education became flexible and attractive to young people. WorldSkills Russia will be implemented in the secondary vocational educational system (SVE).

"The whole system will be a competitive element, by the results of which there will be held a grand Republican competition on working specialties. We want to apply for the opening an interregional competence center in Dagestan.  The changes in the SVE system will be interesting, and all we do it for Dagestani youth", - Omarov concluded.
