Due to large-scale reconstruction of Makhachkala Sea Port and construction of new infrastructure facilities, the volume of cargo transshipment may increase by 33.3%. According to Prime Minister of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the volume of cargo transshipment may grow from 3 to 4 million tons per year. The company plans to build a new checkpoint and modernize the port infrastructure. Besides, a new branch line from the federal highway will be paved to the port.
