Makhachkala, December 28, 2019. Russian mobile operator MTS has signed a cooperation agreement with the city of Derbent municipal council in the Republic of Dagestan. The parties plan to run joint smart city projects in Derben by the end of 2021. MTS expanded its LTE network significantly in Derbent in 2018 and this year. The operator plans to upgrade its existing assets and deploy new telecommunications equipment in the city in order to raise its mobile internet speed.
