KEMZ Concern to produce components for solar power plants

Makhachkala, December 12, 2019. The energy sales company LLC Elektron and the JSC Concern KEMZ signed a cooperation agreement on the production of components and equipment for solar power plants. In particular, the agreement provides for the implementation of 22 projects for the construction of solar stations and components for them in five municipalities of Dagestan.

According to Kamal Kimpaev, the director general of Electron LLC, the total designed capacity of the stations will make more than 53 MW. “Dagestan and its weather and climatic conditions is most suitable for the implementation of such projects. To start the implementation of the project, the investors need to gain a confirmation by the Government of Dagestan.

Having concluded the contract, we, first of all, set a goal to load Dagestan enterprises with an order, to increase their profitability and demand for their products. This cooperation will reduce the delivery time of necessary equipment, as well as increase production by industrial plants in the republic” - K. Kimpaev noted.

Recall, the company previously reported that about 60 million euros would be allocated for the construction of solar and wind power plants in Dagestan. The project partner is the company Eurosolar. According to the project, the first station will be built in the city of Kizlyar with a capacity of 1 MW and will transmit the received electricity to the company's subscribers.
