Iran plans to create an aviation hub in Dagestan

Today Dagestani prime minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov and the representatives of Iranian airlines "Pars Golden Sky" (PGSC) discussed the prospects of creating an aviation hub in the republic. Thus, the Iranian party proposed opening of an aviation hub in Dagestan, including the establishment of an aircraft repair and spare parts enterprise and organization of a cargo hub.  

Dagestan is considered by Iran as a region for the creation of this facility in the Russian Federation due to its territorial proximity. The implementation of the project will allow to increase the number of international flights and destinations available for passengers and cargo flights, give additional impulse to tourism development, create new jobs, attract new investments to the region and arrange affordable air cargo transportation.  

The company displays readiness to provide certified personnel, equipment and management system for the creation of this repair and maintenance organization. The Republic of Dagestan has offered support measures for the international company.
