Makhachkala, November 3, 2019. The equipment of the “Baltic Coast” company from the Crimea has already been delivered to the republic. The exploration of stocks of the popular fish has begun in the basin of the Caspian Sea. On the one hand, the investments in the development of the fishing industry in Dagestan could have been larger if the plant was built from scratch (the capacities are going to be located at Dagdiesel defense plant in Kaspiysk). On the other hand, this will allow to launch the production in the shortest possible time.

Besides, for Dagestan, the resumption of Caspian sprat production after a 20-year hiatus is not just the rise of the famous Soviet brand, but also the creation of about 500 jobs. Yesterday, the Chairman of the Government of Dagestan, Artyom Zdunov, assured Mikhail Bobrov, the director general of the Baltic Coast Company of full assistance.

The key role in the revival of the fishery complex of Dagestan is assigned to the kite fishing. Perhaps Caspian sprat in tomato sauce will again become known in all regions of the country.
