Makhachkala, January 15, 2019. In 2018, the power stations located in Dagestan generated electricity in the amount of 4.78 billion kWh. According to the press service of the branch of JSC SO ECE - the North Caucasus Regional Dispatch Office, last year the electricity was generated by 13.1% more compared to 2017. The republic’s power plants generated 4.78 billion kWh per year. In December, the amount of energy produced amounted to 342 million kWh, which is 38% more than in December of the year past.

The electricity consumption per year, on the contrary, reduced by 0.2% and amounted to 6.48 billion kWh. In December, the consumption amounted to 710 million kWh, which is 0.5% higher than at the same period in 2017.
