Dagestan Audit Chamber reports on violations revealed for 2015

Makhachkala, April 26, 2016. The head of the Audit Chamber (AC) of Dagestan Temirlan Shabanov delivered a report on the work of the supervisory body for 2015 to the republican parliament at the regular session of the National Assembly.

According to Shabanov, the Audit Chamber conducted 70 inspections in the 23 municipalities of Dagestan and 18 ministries and agencies in 2015. The inspectors checked 34.4 billion rubles and revealed violations for 4 billion rubles (in the municipalities - 2.3 billion rubles, in the ministries and departments - 1.7 billion rubles) - the head of the Republican Accounting Chamber said.

"117 officers were disciplined and 13 dismissed from their posts. 38 materials were handed over to the law enforcement authorities initiating 9 criminal cases. 170.3 million rubles had been restored to the budgets of all levels." – Shabanov added.

The head of the Accounting Chamber noted that a large number of violations in the municipalities related to the inflated cost of construction. "The officials overestimate the costs, mainly related to the works that are difficult to verify".
