Makhachkala, February 18, 2019. Yesterday, February 17, at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi the head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev and the director general of Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev signed a cooperation agreement on implementation “Smart City” project in the republic.

Derbent is already on the list of 36 “smart cities” of Russia. The passport has been developed for the regional project “Smart City of the Republic of Dagestan - Derbent”, the government press service reports. In the course of cooperation, it is planned to form a regional center of competence for the digitization of the urban economy and to deploy a platform for digital transformation of the urban economy. The experience of the city of Sarov showed that the digitization technologies saves about 10% of the municipal budget.
