Makhachkala, July 26, 2018. On July 24, the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Republic of Dagestan Saigidpasha Umakhanov held an official meeting with the delegation of heads of departments of the JSC "Concern Kalashnikov" from Udmurtia, the press service of the executive body reports.

According to Umakhanov, one of the priority directions of industrial policy in Dagestan is the primary development of civilian products at enterprises of the defense industry complex.

"We are trying to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with major Russian state corporations, concerns, holdings. The Kalashnikov concern is by far the largest Russian manufacturer of military weapons and a wide range of precision weapons. The enterprise covers a rather large segment of civil products, the machines and tools. In this regard, the republic seeks the way to establish close cooperation relations with the Concern" – Dagestani minister said.

Elena Kriventsova, the head of Non-Products Sales Department noted that the representatives of the Concern had already visited a number of industrial plants in Kaspiysk – the Dagdizel, the Caspian Precision Mechanics Plant and the Avia Mechanical Plant. "Our company is ready to cooperate with the enterprises that have the appropriate scientific, technical, production and personnel potential, within the framework of inter-plant cooperation" - Kriventsova noted.

During the meeting, the both parties considered the problems of mutual interest.
