By 2027, more than RUB 3.5 billion will be spent on repairing water and sewage networks in Makhachkala. According to Magomedgadzhi Shapiyev, Director of the Unified Operator in the sphere of water supply and sewerage, investments will amount to RUB 1 billion in 2024. As a result, by 2027 the degree of network wear should be reduced to 40%. Previously it was reported that RUB 2.8 billion would be spent on sewerage in Makhachkala alone. In total, almost 50 kilometres of sewers will be replaced as part of a large-scale reconstruction of wastewater treatment facilities in the Makhachkala-Kaspiysk agglomeration.
