Dagestan authorities intend to allocate 15 million rubles for the development of rural tourism in the republic in 2024. According to the deputy of the People's Assembly of the Republic Asiyat Aliyeva, the regional government included the rural tourism in the list of main directions for state support.

The total amount of funding under the national target project "Tourism and hospitality industry" in Dagestan in 2023 made 762.8 million RUB. The funds supported 73 projects in the regional tourism sector.

Earlier, the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) reported on joint work with Dagestan authorities on plans to create a seaside resort in the republic. The officials consider plans to build a complex of hotels for 30,000 rooms on the area of about 200 hectares.
