100 hectares orchard being laid out in Dagestan

An orchard with an area of 100 hectares located in Derbentski municipal district is being laid out in Dagestan. A land plot for it had been allocated without bidding by special Order of the regional governor within implementation of “Angelina” investment project. The first deputy Prime Minister of the republic Ruslan Aliyev reported on features of the project at a government meeting.

According to the top official, the orchard will consist of plantations of apple and plum trees, as well as fruit storage and a warehouse. The project provides for laying out of super-intensive and intensive orchards with an area of 100 hectares.

On the remaining territory, it is planned to build a fruit storage, a warehouse and intercellular roads. The project started last year and is expected to be completed next year. The total investment volume makes approx. 255 million rubles.
