MOSCOW, May 14 – RIA "Dagestan". The X Congress of the All-Russian Public Organization "Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia" will be held in Moscow at the National Center "Russia" attended by leaders of major corporations, federal and regional government bodies, leading universities and scientific organizations, as well as representatives of business and professional circles—including delegates from Dagestan.
The anniversary congress will shape the five-year development strategy for Russian mechanical engineering. A plenary session will summarize the Union's achievements over the previous five years, define key development directions, and outline work plans for the next five years. The main reports will be presented by Sergei Chemezov (Union Chairman and Rostec General Director) and Vladimir Gutenyov (Union First Vice President and Chairman of the State Duma's Industry and Trade Committee).
Russian President Vladimir Putin has characterized mechanical engineering as "one of drivers of the domestic economy, an industry with enormous export potential that can and should become a symbol of Russia's national success and technological power".
Dagestani delegation attending the X Congress includes: Abdulkhakim Gadzhiev, State Duma Deputy and curator of Dagestan regional branch of SoyuzMash Russia; Nizam Khalilov, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Dagestan; Zaur Gapizov, Chairman of Dagestan Regional Branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers; Magomed Akhmatov, First Deputy General Director of "Concern KEMZ" JSC; Nazim Balimirzoev, Rector of Dagestan State Technical University; and other officials.
