MAKHACHKALA, July 24 – RIA "Dagestan". For the first time in the republic, Dagestan State Opera and Ballet Theater will stage Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin" one of the most famous works in the history of world music, based on Alexander Pushkin's timeless novel in verse.
The theater described the production as an immersion into Russian classics where the music of a great composer meets poetic genius, offering audiences a full classical opera experience with a symphony orchestra.
The project has been funded by a Russian Government grant in the sphere of theatrical art. The premiere performances will take place on July 30 and 31 at 8:00 PM on the Summer Stage of Dagestan Philharmonic.
