MAKHACHKALA, October 3 – RIA "Dagestan". A new student agritourism project called "Land of Traditions" kicks off in Dagestan, operating under the "Region for the Young" banner of the national "Youth and Children" initiative. Designed to bridge the gap between youth and rural industries, the project immerses students in agriculture, modern farming tech, entrepreneurship and local heritage.
Rather than just studying from textbooks, participants will get an insider’s look at Dagestan’s farms and artisan workshops, interacting directly with specialists. The tour features six key stops across the republic: sheep breeding in Rugudzha on October 6, horticulture in Kasumkent on October 8 and viticulture in Usemikent on October 9. On October 12, the group heads to Andi to learn traditional sausage-making and craft the famous Andi felt cloak, followed by a deep dive into modern farming in Uchkent on October 15 and a folk crafts showcase in Nizhneye Kazanishche on October 20.
Beyond the field trips, students will benefit from hands-on training, expert networking, educational seminars and team-building events.
