MOSCOW, August 24 – RIA Dagestan. Gergebil Folk Choreographic Ensemble has won the Grand Prix at the 15th Interregional Festival of Slavic Art "Russian Field" in Moscow.
Led by Magomedkhabib Gamzatov, Dagestani group took top honors in the "Best Choreographic Ensemble" category. Jury members praised the ensemble's high level of performance, energy, and dedication to traditional Dagestani choreography. The festival brought together some 3,000 participants from various regions across Russia.
The festival also showcased masters of the republic's traditional folk crafts, including Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Magomedali Magomedaliyev, a specialist in Untsukul metal-inlaid woodwork; jeweler Khidriilyas Akhmedov and Umar Sheikhov, a master of chased copperware.
