But the development of this zone is very slow, Russia lags behind neighboring countries - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, says Vasily Cherkashin, the Institute director says.

Recall at the end of the first half of 2023 the oil production in Dagestan decreased by 18%, gas - by 9%. The reason for this is the heavy wear of the existing wells and poor exploration of new fields.
