A surface metro system may be constructed in Makhachkala by 2035. The intention to develop the new transport lines in Makhachkala has been announced at the regular meeting of the Committee on housing, communal services, industry, transportation and agrarian policy of the City Assembly of Deputies. As noted, the draft Program of Integrated Development of Transport Infrastructure of Dagestani capital till 2035 was presented.
