Over the past three years, 69 new health care facilities have been built in the republic of Dagestan, including 61 field paramedic-obstetrician units (structural subdivisions of medical and preventive treatment that provide pre-hospital primary health care in rural areas), 3 polyclinics and 5 outpatient clinics.

Besides, 113 medical institutions have been overhauled as part of the target program to modernize primary health care system under the national "Health Care" project.

As announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, under the new national project "Long and Active Life" more than 1 trillion rubles will be allocated for the construction, repair and equipment of healthcare facilities in Russia over the next 6 years.
