For the first time in the history of Dagestan, on April 21st, the first stage of the Open Championship of Dagestan in drag racing will take place at the Ular airfield, located in the suburban area of Makhachkala, in the Krasnoarmeyskiy settlement.

Racing in a straight line of 402 meters is a classic discipline that will attract more than 100 participants from Dagestan and surrounding regions. Competitions will feature 10 different types of cars, ranging from almost factory-standard models to bolides with over 1,000 horsepower under the hood.

Official competitions with strict adherence to all safety measures are aimed primarily at reducing accidents, so that motorists can enjoy their "iron horses" without risk to others. The competitions will begin at 11:00 Moscow time. The organizers of the event are Dzemsso Auto Club and the Automobile Sports Federation of the Republic of Dagestan, with the support of the regional Youth Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic.
