The republic of Dagestan has been acknowledged as one of the most popular places for sanatorium-resort therapy among regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, the Sanatoria-Rossiya.rf portal reports.

The regional sanatoriums accepted approx. 200 thousand visitors in 2023, that is 82% more than in 2022. Thus, Dagestan occupied the 3rd place among the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District in number of visits to sanatoria. Stavropol Territory and the Kabardino-Balkar Republic are the leaders in terms of popularity of therapy vacancies.
