Civic Initiatives Support Center to appear in Dagestan

A center to support civic initiatives will be created in Dagestan. The new foundation will help NGOs in implementation of socially important projects in the region. The head of the republic, Sergei Melikov, announced it at a meeting with charitable organizations.
According to Melikov, the initiative to create the Center belongs to the participants of the charitable forum "Sunny Beach," who proposed to review the current state support for nonprofit organizations.

The newly created center will take into account the experience and best practices of other regions of Russia. Its main goal is to increase state support to non-profit organizations implementing socially important projects.

"For the effective work in Dagestan we need an organizing force that would oversee the implementation of socially significant projects in the region and support the local NCOs. We are creating it" - the head of the republic said.
