The annual international music festival "Port-Petrovsky Assemblies" will begin on April 15 in Makhachkala. The festival will be opened with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach performed by the Chamber Orchestra of the Khrzhanovsky Philharmonic under the direction of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Zarifa Abdullayeva. The concert will begin at 18:30 in the hall of the Kumyk Theater.

This year's music festival will be the largest in terms of the number of concerts and its duration. Within two months the Muradov Philharmonic Society will present nine new original concert programs with the participation of Dagestani groups and musician-artists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Czech Republic. The genres of the festival concerts vary. Symphonic, chamber, vocal and organ music, folk melodies in professional arrangements and jazz will be performed in the capital of Dagestan.
