Dagenergo, a branch of Rosseti Northern Caucasus JSC is gradually replacing outdated relay protection and automation (RPA) equipment with new microprocessor-based analogues. According to the company’s spokesman, by the end of 2023, the installation of such devices will be completed at 13 substations 35-110 kV in Dagestan.

"All the new equipment is Russian-made. In terms of its parameters, it surpasses the previous generation appliances by their multifunctionality, compactness, high observability and sensitivity as well as by resistance to mechanical impacts" - the company officer says.

The innovations will make it possible to prevent large-scale technological disruptions in the networks.
