Dairy complex worth more than RUR 500 million to be constructed in Dagestan

Makhachkala, November 30, 2018. The president of the Agro Holding “OSP Agro” Igor Masaev confirmed his intention to build cattle fattening complex in Dagestan. The businessman discussed the implementation of the project, with Dagestani vice premier, the minister of agriculture and food Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov during the V International Agricultural Dairy Forum in Krasnodar on Tuesday, November 27.

Igor Masaev had informed Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov about his willingness to develop the dairy cattle breeding in Dagestan early as October 2018 at the 20th Russian agro-industrial exhibition Golden Autumn. Then the businessman said that the project required a plot of land with a total area of 1000-1500 hectares for growing food using a special technology for the cows delivered from Moscow region. The full cycle of fattening cows may increase the milk production from 1800 kg to 10 500-11 000 kg per year.

The initial cost of the project is 500 million rubles. In future, the volume of investments will grow, since there is a necessity to construct a processing complex.
At the international dairy forum, Igor Masaev confirmed his intentions and said that the experts had already developed all the necessary design and estimate documentation for the construction of the dairy complex for 200 head of cattle. In Dagestan, according to the draft project, a full-cycle enterprise with brood and young stock, fattening grounds and equipment for deep processing of milk will be created. As to Abdulmuslimov the republican authorities prepare a land plot for the project.
