Since the beginning of 2023, more than 650 tons of animal products have been exported from Dagestan, the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision) in the Republic of Dagestan reports.

The department has recorded the export of these products to Azerbaijan, Iran, Lebanon, Uzbekistan and Georgia, with a total weight of 652 tons. This includes about 32 tons of mutton, 565 tons of fish products and 55 tons of casings.

Additionally, more than 41,000 heads of live animals were exported, while only 5,000 were exported in the first quarter of 2023. All these products are under state veterinary supervision and were exported by organizations that passed veterinary and sanitary inspections. As a result of laboratory testing, all products were found to be safe.
