By the end of April, the calving campaign in the republic's sheep farms will be over. According to the data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, by April 9, 80% of the 1.1 million ewes wintering on the distant pastures gave birth to more than 875 thousand lambs. The specialized department notes high safety of newborns and proper care of animals. The total number of sheep flocks wintering in distant lands is 1.37 million. The condition of summer pastures is considered satisfactory.
