In accordance with the state initiative, in 2018 Dagestan is expected to release 112 million fish spawn species into the reservoirs and rivers located in the republic, the press service of the West Caspian branch of the Federal State Budgetary Organization “Glavrybvod” reports.

Among them, the fry of Caspian salmon, kutum, carp and other species of fishes. At the same time, 13 million species of the total number are planned to be produced by growing the spawn in the fish farms by the factory method in the basins and ponds.
"More than 99 million species of juveniles are planned to be released from the Nizhne-Tersky, Arakum and Samur spawning-outgrowth reservoirs. The employees of the fish-breeding plants are getting prepared for the fish-breeding season. The incubatory plants are ready to receive caviar for laying it on an incubation for the fulfillment of the state assignment. The hatcheries continue the formation of the repair broodstock of sturgeon fishes – the Russian sturgeon and beluga" - the press release of the institution runs.

Besides, in 2018, additional measures to clear water canals from silt and sand are scheduled.
