MAKHACHKALA, July 29 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani para-taekwondo athletes made an impressive debut at the Russian Championships in Nalchik, winning 12 medals on day one, including three golds.
Amir Rekalaev (up to 58 kg), Muhammad Adzhiev (up to 63 kg) and Aliaskhab Ramazanov (over 80 kg) emerged as champions, while Timur Baitimirov, Daniil Sidorov and Magomedzagir Isaldibirov won silver. Bronze medals were awarded to Umar Valiev, Akhmed Isaev, Abdurashid Dibirov, Tinovas Nurov, Bagyshbek Idrisov and Magomed Magomedov.
The competition continues on July 30 with women’s events, where Zaira Irazieva and Diana Abuzyarova will represent Dagestan in the medal rounds.
