MAKHACHKALA, March 31 – RIA Dagestan. To date, 2,060 participants have signed up for Dagestan Wild Trail, a major and widely attended trail running event.
The Republic of Dagestan will become the venue for the event on April 11–12. Competitors come from both the Russian Federation and various other countries. This year, the organizers have increased the number of race distances from four to seven: 10, 19, 30, 55, 75, and 98 kilometers, along with an extreme 9-kilometer sprint. The sprint route includes a dangerous three-kilometer segment featuring a narrow trail along a cliff edge. Most races will start and finish on the Gunib Plateau.
