KASPIYSK, October 6 – RIA "Dagestan". Ali Aliyev Palace of Sports in Kaspiysk will host an international para table tennis competition for athletes with musculoskeletal impairments on October 9 - 11.
Competing for the prestigious Makhachkala Mayor's Prize, players aged 14 and up will battle it out not just for glory, but for a coveted spot on the Russian national team roster.
The competitive schedule features preliminary group stages on October 9–10, followed by the medal matches on October 11. The event offers a one-million prize fund distributed across singles and doubles categories, supplemented by specialized nominations such as the Will to Win and Audience Choice awards to promote sportsmanship and inclusivity.
Institutional support for the tournament is provided by Dagestan Ministry of Sports, Makhachkala municipal administration and the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Musculoskeletal Impairments, reflecting a coordinated effort to integrate para-athletes into the national sports framework.
