Ekaterina Chikanova won a gold medal at the Russian Women’s Wrestling Championship for athletes under 21.The national competition, where the Dagestani athlete excelled, took place in Yegoryevsk, Moscow Oblast.
Competing in the under-53 kg weight category, Chikanova dominated the field and defeated her fellow Dagestani rival Diana Gadzhiyeva in the final bout, securing first place while Gadzhiyeva claimed silver.
Additionally, two more athletes from Dagestan reached the podium: Kira Solobchuk earned bronze in the under-55 kg division and Patimat-Zakhra Malakaeva took third place in the under-76 kg category.
