MAKHACHKALA, March 30 – RIA Dagestan. Beibulat Nazirov claimed gold at the Russian Youth Weightlifting Championship in Kaspiysk, setting a new national record. Competing in the under-15 age group in the up to 73 kg weight class, the Dagestani achieved a 235 kg total across the snatch and clean and jerk, securing first place overall.
His performance in the clean and jerk was particularly impressive: a 134 kg lift earned him gold in the discipline and established a new Russian record. In the snatch, Nazirov took silver with a result of 101 kg.
In the under-17 division of the same weight class, fellow Dagestani Sharaputdin Iziev also took silver.
