MAKHACHKALA, October 6 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani para-taekwondo athletes Aliaskhab Ramazanov (+80 kg) and Diana Abuzyarova (60 kg) have been selected to represent Russia at an international tournament scheduled for October 8 in Paris.
Both competitors secured their roster spots by winning their respective weight classes at this year's Russian National Championships. The victory marked a historic milestone for Ramazanov, who claimed his eighth career national title, while Abuzyarova captured her first senior national crown in her debut appearance at the elite level.
For the Dagestani duo, the upcoming Paris tournament will serve as a crucial preparatory stage ahead of the World Para Taekwondo Championships, which are set to take place in South Korea this November.
