MAKHACHKALA, July 31 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani karate athletes won medals at the Russian Open WKF tournament in Sirius federal territory. The competition featured more than 800 participants from 16 countries and 37 Russian regions. Five karateka from Dagestan took part in the event.
Tamirlan Magomedov and Said Abdulkhalimov both achieved third-place results, with each losing in the semifinals to the athletes who became tournament champions.
The Russia Open WKF is listed among the major international competitions in the karate calendar.
