Dagestani Hand-to-Hand Combat Athlete Wins Russian National Championship

TULA, March 30 – RIA Dagestan. Konstantin Tuzov, representing the Republic of Dagestan, has won the Russian National Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship. The nationwide competition, held in Tula, featured over one thousand participants from 61 regions across Russia.

Tuzov won the gold medal and was additionally honored as the tournament's Most Valuable Athlete. Overall, competitors from the Republic of Dagestan obtained seven medals at the championship. Along with Tuzov, Ali Salatgereev, Islam Shakhbanov, Said Ragimov, Rustam Atagimov and Said Bagilova won silver medals, with Said Ragimov also taking home a bronze.

These athletes are all set to join the Russian National Team in preparation for the World Championship in Bishkek this May.
