MAKHACHKALA, June 9 – RIA Dagestan. Kurban Bayranbekov claimed victory at the international professional boxing tournament "Battle for the East" held in Chita. The Dagestani took part in the co-main event of the competition, where he faced his compatriot Maxim Kuznetsov in an eight-round bantamweight contest and came out on top. The win brought Bayranbekov the title of Russian Professional Champion. It is worth noting that this bout marked his debut in professional boxing.
