MAKHACHKALA, April 11 – RIA Dagestan. Akhmed Tazhudinov took bronze at the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Bishkek. In the repechage final for third place, Dagestani Olympic champion dominated Bekzat Urkimbay of Kazakhstan, winning 14–0.
Japan's Arash Yoshida, who had beaten Tazhudinov in the semifinals, claimed gold in the heavyweight division. The bronze is Tazhudinov's third Asian Championship medal, following golds in 2023 and 2024.
