DSU Hosts III International Conference on Culture of Russian Speech

MAKHACHKALA, October 9 – RIA "Dagestan". The III International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Culture of Russian Speech in Multilingual Contexts" is underway at Dagestan State University (DSU), serving as a critical platform for evaluating linguistic policy and pedagogical methodologies in multiethnic regions.

Convened to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Department of Methods of Teaching Russian Language and Literature, the forum addresses the dual challenge of integrating digital educational tools while mitigating the decline in youth speech culture.

The plenary session featured diverse academic vectors: Alan Tskhovrebov presented an erotological framework for teaching Russian as a foreign language, while Alexey Shaulov analyzed the cognitive and emotional boundaries between artificial intelligence and human authorship.

International perspectives were provided by Türkan Olcay on historical diaspora language retention and Yulia Pogrebnyak on macro-trends in foreign language instruction. Furthermore, regional linguistic governance was examined through Mariza Ibragimova’s strategies for multiethnic language regulation and Malik Vadzhibov’s formulation of Dagestani rhetorical specifics, with subsequent section meetings dedicated to applied pedagogical and digital integration challenges.
