MAKHACHKALA, October 1 – RIA "Dagestan". Suleiman Kerimov has been formally conferred the powers of a Senator representing the Republic of Dagestan in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. This appointment has been unanimously approved by the deputies of the newly convened People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, thereby designating him as the official representative of the republican legislative authority within the upper house of the federal legislature.
